A short internship with one clear brief

The project
You will define the activation event, which sounds simple and is not, then build the cohort analysis behind it. Working in SQL against our event tables, you will measure how many new candidates complete a profile, run a search and apply within a week, split by acquisition source and by city. Then you find the biggest drop off point and make a case for what should change about it.
What you get out of it
Product analytics is mostly the discipline of asking a smaller question than the one you were handed. You will practise that with a product manager who pushes back on your framing every single time you present. By the end you will have a documented activation metric, a cohort dashboard the product team checks weekly, and one experiment recommendation with the analysis behind it.
Remote from anywhere in India, with a standing check in every morning at eleven. Open to final year students and recent graduates, and you should already be able to write a grouped query with a filter on the aggregate without looking it up.
Responsibilities
- Define the candidate activation event and get that definition agreed across teams

- Present one experiment recommendation with the supporting analysis
Requirements
- Final year student or recent graduate, no prior work experience needed
- Can write grouped aggregate queries with filters on aggregates unaided
- Available for a fixed morning check in each day while working remotely
- Willing to have your framing challenged and to revise it
