About the job
About Galvix
Galvix helps US mid-market businesses manage sales tax compliance end to end. We pair our own software with a team of specialists who do the work: tax determination, exemption certificates, return preparation, and filings.
We are a small, profitable, bootstrapped team of 10, and we compete with the large incumbents in this space by being better at the complicated cases they handle poorly. Our customers are manufacturers, distributors, and construction firms with genuinely complex compliance needs.
The role
You will be our first marketing hire and the person who owns marketing.
Most of what we have built so far lives on our own website. The bigger opportunity is everywhere else. Our buyers form their opinion long before they reach us: in communities, in comparison threads, in review sites, in what an AI assistant tells them when they ask which vendor to use. That surface is largely unclaimed for us, and building it is the core of this job.
This is a build role, not a management one. You will figure out the positioning, write the words, ship the pages, and go earn the presence yourself.
Primary focus: off-site presence

Who this is for
This is a poor fit if you need a large budget or a team to be effective, or if you measure success in volume rather than quality. The channels we care about punish that approach, permanently.
How we hire
No long take-home. We will spend a couple of hours working through a real problem together, live. You can use any tools you want, including AI. We are interested in the questions you ask and how you think, not in how polished a deck you can produce over a weekend.
What we offer
