About the job
UGC Mastery Academy is a fast-growing online education and coaching program that teaches people how to build a sustainable income as user-generated content (UGC) creators. We help students land brand deals, create high-performing content, and scale their creator businesses.
Our marketing engine runs on a complex, tightly integrated stack - Meta ads, GoHighLevel funnels, WebinarJam, Twilio SMS, AI lead qualification, and a custom KPI platform. It has grown faster than our ability to maintain it. This role exists to close that gap permanently.
The Role
You will be the technical owner and architect of our marketing and automation infrastructure. This is a senior individual contributor role - no people management, but full ownership. You won't be executing tickets handed down to you; you'll be the person the CMO and Head of Technology consult before a platform decision is made.
If you have owned a marketing stack end to end and been the one accountable when it broke, that experience is the whole job here.
Core Responsibilities
Attribution & Ad Tech
- Own Meta Pixel and Conversion API end to end - implementation, event deduplication, and a recurring QA process that runs after every funnel change
- Build VSL quiz conditional logic that fires qualified events to CAPI and suppresses unqualified ones
- Complete Google Ads and TikTok conversion tracking into the internal KPI platform
- Govern Google Tag Manager: tags, triggers, and data layer across all web properties
Funnel & Automation Architecture
- Architect GoHighLevel automations so new business units, sales roles, and platform changes don't require full rebuilds
- Own the evergreen webinar system - 3 sessions per day, automated scheduling, no-show recovery, and show/no-show routing into separate nurture flows
- Rebuild VSL landing pages as GHL-native editable sections instead of raw HTML blocks
- Own the direct-to-checkout flow end to end
- Maintain Make and Zapier pipelines with real error handling and monitoring - no sequence fails silently
Deliverability & Compliance
- Own email deliverability: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warming, reputation monitoring, bounce and spam rate management
- Own Twilio 10DLC / A2P carrier registration and build the repeatable onboarding playbook so each new business unit isn't starting from zero
- Configure AI lead-intake pacing to stay inside carrier and platform rate limits
Data & KPI Platform
- Complete Stripe and Whop payment gateway integrations feeding the performance dashboard
- Deliver a P&L and performance dashboard the executive team actually trusts
- Establish a data migration protocol so future platform changes don't lose history
Technical Authority
- Advise the CMO and CTO before platform changes, not after the damage
- Evaluate new tools with a clear recommendation and a migration risk assessment
- Maintain living documentation for every integration you own, and mentor the wider IT team on the systems they touch
Requirements
- 4+ years hands-on with GoHighLevel or an equivalent CRM/funnel platform - funnels, automations, landing pages, multi-business-unit setups
- Deep, demonstrable Meta Business Manager expertise: ad account structure, Pixel, and Conversion API implementation and debugging
- Google Tag Manager - tag governance, trigger logic, data layer configuration
- Make (Integromat) and Zapier - building and maintaining multi-platform automation pipelines
- Webhooks, REST APIs, and JSON - you debug integrations directly, not by filing a support ticket
- Email deliverability fundamentals: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warming, bounce management
- SMS compliance: Twilio or equivalent, A2P and 10DLC carrier registration
- Multi-channel attribution across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and GA4
- A track record of owning a stack and making architectural calls - not just executing tasks
- Strong written communication; you can make a technical constraint legible to a CMO
Nice to Have
- AI-assisted lead qualification tools (Charlie AI, BuyerIQ, or similar)
- Stripe and/or Whop payment gateway integrations
- SQL or advanced spreadsheet skills for KPI work
- Experience scaling a multi-business-unit tech stack
- Online education, coaching, or direct-response background
What Success Looks Like - First 90 Days
- Day 30 - Full audit of the martech stack complete: every integration, automation, and tracking dependency documented; the Meta Pixel/CAPI QA process defined and running after each funnel change.
- Day 60 - CAPI event deduplication and VSL quiz conditional logic live and verified; email deliverability baseline established (SPF/DKIM/DMARC validated, reputation monitoring in place); evergreen webinar routing rebuilt and stable.
- Day 90 - A P&L/KPI dashboard the exec team trusts and uses, with Monetization data flowing; Twilio 10DLC onboarding playbook documented; monitoring and alerting in place so no automation fails silently; a prioritized architecture roadmap delivered for Q4.
Who Thrives Here
- You've owned a marketing tech stack - not just worked inside one - and you were accountable when it broke
- You surface problems before they cause revenue loss, rather than waiting for a ticket
- You document as you build, not six months later
- You work across CRM, ad tech, deliverability, and integrations without needing a specialist for each domain
- You're comfortable being the most senior technical voice in a room with a CMO and a COO
- You see platform chaos as an opportunity, not a deterrent
