Vistula Software House is hiring a QA engineer on a fully remote basis. Quality here is an engineering job, not a gate at the end of one. You will build and own the automated suites that let the team release confidently, and you will still do the exploratory testing that automation is bad at.
Polish technology salaries are quoted MONTHLY, and both employment contracts and B2B arrangements are normal here. The range below is monthly gross under an employment contract; a B2B equivalent can be discussed.
Expect a mix of writing end-to-end and API tests, keeping the suite fast and free of flakiness, and working with engineers on testability before a feature is built rather than after. When something reaches production broken, you lead the look at why the tests did not catch it. The role is fully remote within Poland, with a desk in the office for anyone who would rather not work from home.
This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. We want someone who can read the application code, write a precise and reproducible bug report, and argue for the test that should exist rather than the twenty that should not. Experience wiring tests into CI is essential.
The team works Central European hours with a hybrid week, and English is the working language of engineering. The range shown is a MONTHLY figure, which is how this market advertises salaries — it is not an annual number.
Vistula Software House builds and runs long-lived products for European clients in logistics, energy and public services. We are not a body shop: teams stay with a product for years, own its architecture and are expected to disagree with a client who is about to make an expensive mistake.
Most of our work is Java and TypeScript on Kubernetes, with a strong testing culture inherited from the regulated sectors we serve. Code review is thorough and slow by modern standards, and we think that is the correct trade for software that will be maintained for a decade.
We work from Kraków and Warsaw. Salaries are quoted monthly, and both employment contracts and B2B arrangements are available.
