Product Video Intern (Premiere Pro)

Software is hard to film. There is nothing to point a camera at, so every product video has to be built rather than shot, and that is the craft this internship teaches.
What you would be making
MailerMen's product team ships an applicant tracker, a resume parser and an employer dashboard. Over three months you will produce the videos that explain them: sixty second feature launches, a four minute onboarding walkthrough, sales demo cutdowns and the silent looping clips that sit inside the app. Everything starts as a screen recording, so you will learn to plan a capture before you record it, hide loading states, mask real candidate data, and speed ramp through the boring parts without losing the viewer.
Tools and rhythm
Premiere Pro for the cut, After Effects for callouts, zooms and cursor highlights, and a shared asset library so every video looks like it came from the same company. Voiceover arrives from a contractor, and you handle the timing, the pacing and the music bed underneath it.
Working from anywhere
This one is open worldwide and fully remote. We work asynchronously, with written briefs, screen recorded reviews and one overlapping call a week at a time that is not cruel to either of us.
Responsibilities
- Plan and record clean screen captures of the applicant tracker and employer dashboard
- Edit sixty second feature launch videos and longer onboarding walkthroughs in Premiere Pro
- Add zooms, cursor highlights and callouts in After Effects so viewers know where to look
- Mask or replace real candidate data in every frame before a video leaves the pipeline
- Cut sales demo footage into short clips the sales team can send to prospects
- Time voiceover, music and on-screen text so nothing competes for attention
- Maintain the shared asset library of intros, end cards and callout templates
Requirements
- Student or recent graduate anywhere in the world, no professional experience expected
- Solid Premiere Pro fundamentals and at least basic After Effects
- Clear written English, since most reviews happen in text
- Able to overlap with India business hours for one call each week
- Attention to detail around privacy, especially anything resembling personal data
