Clearing the backlog, then building the channel
Your first month is unglamorous and genuinely useful. You will work through around twenty two-camera interviews, each roughly an hour long, and cut them into eighteen minute episodes. Once that queue is clear, the remaining three months turn into channel building: a weekly careers explainer series, community posts cut from off-cuts, and Shorts pulled from the strongest ninety seconds of each interview.
The craft side
Long-form editing punishes sloppiness in a way short-form does not. You will learn to build a paper edit from the transcript before touching a timeline, to cut around ums without making a speaker sound robotic, and to place B-roll where attention actually dips rather than wherever it looks pretty. Colour matching between the two cameras and a consistent loudness target across every upload are both on you.
Where you will sit
Three days a week from our Indiranagar studio, two from wherever you like. The studio has the grade suite and a decent pair of monitors, which starts to matter a lot once you are matching cameras shot by shot.
Responsibilities
- Edit two-camera founder interviews into eighteen to twenty minute YouTube episodes
- Build paper edits from transcripts before assembling a timeline
- Cut vertical Shorts from the strongest moments of each long-form episode
- Colour match footage between cameras and hold a consistent loudness target across uploads
- Source and place B-roll, stock and screen recordings at the points where retention dips
- Prepare chapter markers, thumbnail frames and end screen assets for every upload
- Track average view duration per episode and flag which edit decisions moved it
Requirements
- Final-year student or fresh graduate, this is a first job and we treat it as one
- At least one long-form edit you can walk us through, even if it was for a college club
- Comfort with Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, we will not make you switch tools
- Patience for transcripts, sync drift and footage that was shot slightly soft
- Able to be in the Bengaluru studio three days a week
