Senior React Developer

About the role

Zentari scheduling is opened every morning by plant supervisors who have about ninety seconds to decide what the shift will build. The interface has to load fast on a shared desktop, hold a lot of state without becoming confusing, and never quietly lose an edit. You will own that surface.

This is a senior individual contributor role on a team of five: one designer, two backend engineers and a product manager. You are expected to push back on requirements that would make the screen harder to use, not just implement them.

What the work actually looks like

Most weeks are a mix of feature work on the planning board, paying down interaction debt, and improving how the app behaves when the network drops mid-edit. We are halfway through moving a legacy Redux store to a mix of server state and local component state, and you would help finish that migration without a big-bang rewrite.

You will also set the standard for the rest of the front end: how we test components, how we measure render cost, and what the review bar is.

What we look for

Five or more years writing React in production, genuine depth in JavaScript rather than a memorised set of framework recipes, and the judgement to know when a virtualised list is worth its complexity and when a plain map is fine.
